(07/12/20) Video Greetings from Luosto! (21.12.2007)
Neo Arena’s last research production for the year 2007, Christmas Video Greetings, is produced in co-operation with Canterbury Travel and Lapland Memories. The video greetings studio is located in Luosto nearby the restaurant Luostonhovi. The service is tailored for Canterbury Travel’s international Lapland travelers.
The travelers´ 60 second greetings are filmed in the video studio. The personalized greetings clip is combined to Luosto profiled video material filmed beforehand. The combined clip will be encoded to internet and mobile formats (Flash stream and 3gpp). After converting and inserting the video clip into transmission server, the service system sends an e-mail and an SMS message to the client. The messages include the links for mobile optimized and the internet video. The system for the Greeting service is developed by the software company Tentrio Oy (Oulu).
The client may send the links to greetings forward and also save the mobile video on his phone. Mobile version of the greetings video is compatible for S40 ja S60 operating systems mobile phones with a media player. Internet video requires the Flash-player.

The Finnish Masters’ Championships in Skijumping was held in Taivalvaara Ski Center, Taivalkoski on 2.-3.2.2008. On below, there are results and atmosphere from the Finnish Masters’ competition.

This application makes it easier to view different video contents in mobile devices. It is now possible to see Neo Arena’s live broadcast and Video On Demand contents through NVC. In future all Neo Arena’s VOD contents will be available on mobile devices through NVC. The Rockfootball tournament will be seen at Neo Arena on 14th-16th of September as a re-run. Broadcast times: On Saturday at 1 PM On Sunday at 1 PM ************************************************************** (08/14/07) ROCKFOOTBALL AT NEO ARENA 18th-19th OF AUGUST Rockfootball is a traditional tournament between Finnish musicians, actors and other entertainers. It will be held at Heinäpää football fields in Oulu from 14th to 16th of August. There will be 34 teams attending the tournament. During the weekend you can see members of Finnish bands such as Egotrippi and Uniklubi playing. Neo Arena will participate in this celebration of sport and rock the whole weekend! The live broadcast will begin on Saturday and Sunday at 10am and last until the last games are played. In addition to the games you can see a feature story about the girl team FC Stray Cats. During the weekend we’ll find out how football can be watched from a small screen.
